We are a Swim 21 Accredited Swimming Club

Affiliated to the A.S.A. Y.A.S.A. and the Royal Life Saving Society
Scarborough Swimming Club is the longest established Club in the Scarborough area, based in North Yorkshire. We are Swim 21 accredited and offer swimming courses for all levels. All our teachers are qualified through the ASA. Learn to swim starts in the small pool from 4 ½ years of age. Stroke technique continues in the large pool with width classes, eventually leading to length classes and then squad training. Your child will progress at their own pace and make many friends whilst enjoying a fun and healthy sport. If your child wants to become a National, County or Regional Champion or just enjoy swimming at club level we have the programme to suit and help them achieve their maximum potential.

2012 Membership Fees

The 2012 memberships fees are for the season January 1st to September 30th.
New fees and membership will start on 1st October 2012 until 30th September 2013.

A & B Gala Entries 2012

As usual our A&B Gala has proved very popular with many swimmers coming to enjoy a weekend in Scarborough. The event is now full except where lane spaces are shown. There is a reserve list running for Saturday morning session, to fill any withdrawals before the weekend.
"Any final entries must be emailed through - they are dealt with in the order received."No additional heats can be added to any event now as all sessions are at their time limit.

Ridings League Gala 2012

Riddings Swimmers 2012

Scarborough Swimming Club Ridings reigning Champions 2011, swim to a fantastic win in the first gala of the 2012 season.
All swimmers aged 9 upwards rose to the occasion with brilliant swims across all age groups.
A special well done must go to Joe Billingsby, Edward Hopper, Katie Tomlinson, Ellie May Gavin and Shanice Dobson who joined the team for the first time this year.
Results:
1st Scarborough 144 points, 2nd New Earswick 133 points, 3rd Thirsk White Horse 96 points, 4th South Hunsley 94 points

Open Water 2012

Open Water training will once again take place at Wykeham Lakes on Monday evenings from 28th May through to September.
Please sign in by 6.30pm, when briefing will take place on lakeside, with swimming starting by 6.40pm
Cost: £2 per session or £20 for the season
